Darrin Wilson, General Manager
Darrin Wilson has over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. NSCA-CPT, AFPA, Nautilus, and Interactive Fitness Trainers of America (IFTA) certified. He has worked in every capacity from gym attendant, Personal Trainer to General Manager and understands the operation of a fitness facility from all aspects. His responsibilities have ranged from member orientation, equipment maintenance to marketing and budgeting.
A Computer Science Major with experience in Personal Training, Massage Therapy, Physiology and Psychology of Adults and Children. He played team sports all through high school and college and continues to challenge himself by participating in the U.S. Professional Flag Football League, Raleigh City Parks Softball League, and studies martial arts. Coached youth football and basketball and participated summer and after-school youth programs for the Bronx Police Athletic League, Atlanta YMCA, and Raleigh YWCA.
One common denominator for Mr. Wilson professional experience is that he has always had to interact with several different people, all ages and a variety of personalities to work toward the development of their own individual goal, whether it be client or employee. One of Mr. Wilson's primary goals is to set the highest standard for the Fitness and Personal Training Industry.
Chad Lefler, Certified Personal Trainer
Chad has been with us since March of 2001. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sciences from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Nutrition Consultant certification from ACE, he has been training for 7 years.
Chad worked closely with the Exercise Physiology Dept. while at UNC and has since worked in the UNC Hospital system as their Health and Fitness Specialist as well. He is also the official strength and conditioning coach for the UNC Cycling Team.
With a diverse background, Chad has worked with elite athletes, teens, elderly, people with chronic low back pain, and clients in the pre/post stages of surgical procedures and pregnancy.
Since joining N-Shape, Chad has helped a wide variety of the community lead healthier lifestyles and improve their balance between exercise and nutrition, work and play.
Todd Fleetwood, Certified Personal Trainer
Todd Fleetwood graduated from East Carolina University in 1995 where he obtained a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. He currently holds certifications through the National Athletic Trainers Association, American Council on Exercise, Kickbox Fitness and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of North Carolina.
He is also a competitive Muay Thai Kickboxer and Instructor. During his seven years as a Personal Trainer he has worked with a variety of clients including first time exercisers, car accident victims and professional athletes. Todd will help you set and achieve realistic goals using a variety of fun and unique workouts (and a little bit of sweat from you).
Alton Skinner, Certified Personal Trainer
Performace Nutritionist
Alton attended North Carolina State University. Alton is a recognized authority expert in golf and tennis conditioning. His players have won numerous, local, state, national and international tournaments in both sports. He ha had the opportunity to work with players from the PGA tour, NHL, NFL, NBA, LPGA, ATP tour, MLS and several NCAA champions. His passion lies in helping junior athletes reach their sports goals.
Alton also enjoys sharing his expertise with fitness enthusiast as well. His philosophy is having his clients switch from the mindset of working out to training. Quit working out and start training. Reach your fitness goals while getting in the best shape of your life.
Alton is the author of the best-selling golf book, “The Golfer’s Stroke Saver Workout”. He is a member of Grace Community Church. He lives in Raleigh with his wife Tammy and dog Bogey (both of whom are rabid Ohio State Buckeye fans).
